My parents recently returned from a visit to Taiwan, where they stopped by the Lin Yutang House. Born in 1895, Lin Yutang was a Chinese writer who lived in Taiwan the last few years of his life. Supposedly this saying, one of his own, was the one that hung in his kitchen.
